Celebrating Women’s Month Through Empowerment and Education

Liberty Co-operative Credit Union was proud to take part in Women’s Month by celebrating the achievements of women and reinforcing its ongoing commitment to empowerment, financial education, and community development.

As a member-focused financial institution, Liberty recognizes the important role women play in building families, leading businesses, shaping communities, and strengthening economies. Women’s Month provides an opportunity not only to celebrate these contributions, but also to encourage greater financial independence and long-term success for women at every stage of life.

A key part of Liberty’s Women’s Month involvement is the active participation of its Founder, L. Vanessa Connor, who is leading the credit union's representation at various events and engagements. During these occasions over the past month, the Founder delivered empowering talks focused on topics such as financial responsibility, personal development, and the importance of cooperative support systems.

These presentations were designed to inspire women to take control of their finances, understand the value of saving and investing, and explore opportunities that can strengthen their futures.

By sharing practical knowledge and real-life experience, Liberty’s Founder is helping to create meaningful conversations that uplift and motivate women across the community.

While Women’s Month is a special time of recognition, Liberty Co-operative Credit Union remains committed to supporting women year-round. Your credit union continues to work toward building a stronger, more financially informed membership through education, outreach, and accessible services.

Liberty believes that when women are financially empowered, families thrive and communities grow stronger.

This Women’s Month, Liberty celebrates women, not only for their achievements, but for the bright future they continue to build.
