Anguilla Shines at Regional Credit Union Convention: Liberty Secures Top Honours Again

A dedicated delegation of 13 participants proudly represented Anguilla at the 2026 Annual Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU) Convention, held from June 19–24. The premier regional event brought together credit union professionals, leaders, volunteers, and innovators from across the Caribbean to network, share insights, and discuss the future of co-operative finance in the region.

Beyond valuable networking and collaborative sessions, the convention turned out to be yet another historic moment of celebration for Anguilla's financial sector. Liberty, the only credit union operating in Anguilla was in the spotlight again.

Double Victory for Liberty

Anguilla was officially recognised and awarded for achieving both the "Highest Asset Growth" and "Highest Membership Growth" among regional credit unions with under 20,000 members in 2025.

This marks the second consecutive year that Liberty has received these prestigious honours, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing among the most trusted financial co-operatives in the region.

The back-to-back awards underscore the compounding trust of the local community and the robust financial management that drives the institution forward.

Driving Growth, Building Community

These accolades reflect more than just impressive numbers on a balance sheet; they represent a thriving community-first approach to banking. The exceptional growth in assets demonstrates that members are increasingly choosing Liberty as a local co-operative pathway to secure their financial futures, while the surge in membership highlights Liberty's expanding reach and accessibility.

Congratulations to the entire delegation, the hardworking volunteers, management and staff, and most importantly, the members whose continued loyalty makes this regional success possible!
