Liberty successfully held its 4th AGM on July 29, 2021.
Despite the prolonged impacts of COVID-19, the AGM was convened following the completion of its audited financial statements. Members were again provided the opportunity to attend in person or virtually. Persons who could not for some reason attend the AGM or were stuck abroad due to the ongoing pandemic were able to login, view and engage in the meeting in real time using videoconferencing.
The success of the 2021 AGM has set the tone for the next financial year. In this year's AGM, the membership approved an interest bonus on shares which will be paid mid-December on balances held as at November 30, 2021, giving members time to increase their shareholding investment. The 2022 AGM will be the next opportunity to have a say in your credit union business in a formal setting.
